Cookies Policy

We use cookies only where the Service cannot function without them. No analytics trackers. No advertising. No cross-site tracking.

Last updated: July 2026

This Cookies Policy explains what cookies Verdant sets when you use our website at verdalytiq.com or the Verdant reporting platform (together, the "Service"), why we set them, and how long they last. Read this alongside our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They allow the site to remember information between page loads and between visits. Some cookies expire when you close your browser; others persist on your device for a set period.

The cookies we set

Verdant sets exactly two cookies. Both are strictly necessary for the Service to function. Neither is used for analytics, advertising, or tracking your activity across other sites.

NamePurposeDurationType
verdant_sessionMaintains your authenticated session while you are actively using the platform. Ties your browser tab to your logged-in account so that page loads and API requests are correctly authorized.Session (deleted when you close your browser)Strictly necessary
verdant_authPersistent authentication token that keeps you logged in across browser sessions. Allows you to return to the platform without signing in again, as long as the token has not expired or been revoked.30 days of inactivityStrictly necessary

Both cookies are HttpOnly and Secure. They are not accessible to JavaScript running on the page, which protects them from cross-site scripting attacks. The persistent authentication token is also scoped to the verdalytiq.com domain and is not sent to any third-party domain.

Why no consent banner

Cookie consent banners are required by law when a site sets non-essential cookies, such as analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party tracking pixels. Because Verdant sets only strictly necessary cookies, no consent banner is required under the UK PECR, the EU ePrivacy Directive, or equivalent frameworks. We do not set any cookies until you interact with the Service.

Third-party cookies

No third-party cookies are present on any page of the Service. We do not embed analytics scripts, advertising tags, social-media sharing widgets, or any other third-party JavaScript that would set cookies on your device.

Cookies we do not use

  • Analytics cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or any other analytics platform that tracks individual user behavior via cookies.
  • Advertising cookies. We have no advertising revenue. We do not set pixels or cookies for Meta, Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, or any other advertising network.
  • Cross-site tracking. We do not participate in any cross-site tracking ecosystem. No fingerprinting scripts or persistent identifiers are used to follow users across sites.
  • Performance or preference cookies. We do not store user preferences such as theme or language in cookies. Any such settings are stored in your workspace account on our servers, associated with your authenticated session.

Managing cookies

You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies at any time. Note that blocking the session cookie or the authentication token will prevent you from logging in and using the Service, since these cookies are required for authentication to work.

Instructions for managing cookies in common browsers:

  • Chrome: Settings, Privacy and security, Cookies and other site data.
  • Firefox: Settings, Privacy and Security, Cookies and Site Data.
  • Safari: Preferences, Privacy, Manage Website Data.
  • Edge: Settings, Cookies and site permissions, Manage and delete cookies and site data.

Changes to this policy

If we add new cookies for any reason, we will update this page before setting them and notify account holders if the new cookies are not strictly necessary. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
